ImpressionIST® 4+: the new Rodenstock video centering system
At Profilo Ottico we use ImpressionIST® 4+, the latest generation of Rodenstock 3D video centering devices — even more precise and easy to use than previous versions. The system allows immediate measurement recording with the wearer in their natural head and body position, eliminating errors related to forced postures. The resolution and natural colors of the patented stereo 3D camera guarantee superior precision measurements.
3D Mesh Technology: complete face mapping
The technological heart of ImpressionIST® 4+ is the new software with Mesh technology based on polyhedral geometry: the entire face is mapped completely and precisely for superior accuracy. The system quickly and easily captures all the necessary centering parameters — interpupillary distance, pupillary height, pantoscopic angle, corneal apex distance and frame curvature — with a single recording in the client's habitual posture. Data is then automatically synchronized in a single database and transmitted directly to the Rodenstock laboratory for lens production.
