Dita

Eyewear as a collector's object.

The story

DITA was born in 1995 from a collaboration between two Californians and the artisan workshops of Sabae, Japan — the city that produces over 90% of high-quality Japanese eyewear. The idea is simple and ambitious: to bring to the West the level of finish and precision of Japanese craftsmanship applied to eyewear.

Each DITA frame is the result of dozens of manual processing stages. The materials are exclusive: aeronautical titanium, top-grade Japanese acetate, 18-carat gold for some finishes. Production times are long by definition — there is no rush at DITA.

The brand has built a clientele of collectors and enthusiasts who treat their glasses the way one treats a fine watch: with care, respect and awareness of value. Some limited editions have become collector's pieces.

DITA also founded Thom Browne Eyewear and manages other premium lines, but the parent brand remains the absolute reference for those seeking the best in artisanal eyewear.
